I've got a 1986 monte carlo SS that I am looking to sell. It is an awsome car, I love it, but as most cars its age it has its good and bad points. I am only really getting rid of it because it is no longer economical with me new job coming up.

So, its black, maroon interior, the interior is in pretty nice shape for its year, drivers seat has some tears.

-Inside all the guages work except the Temperature guage because the engine in there now has no sensor for it.
-The power windows work, but the power door locks do not, when I bought the car the guy said the lock motors were original and just needed replacement, I never minded leaning over to open the door so I never fixed it.
-The radio is original, along with the speakers, but both work well.
-The passanger side door handle came off its hindge, which I am going to try and fix if I have a chance to get out there so right now the passanger side door has to be opened from the inside, easy fix.

It was hit in the rear drivers quarter panel, nothing overly serious, folded the panel in on itself a bit, but most of it knocked out from the trunk and some bondo filled in the rest, if im to believe the guy I bought it from, that should be the first time the car has seen bondo. It needs a final sanding down, I never got to finish it, but it has been painted black so is less noticable, but like I said, its a little rough.

Now onto the drive train. It has a 200r4, so Automatic Overdrive.
I just put a newer 7.5inch 3.73 posi into the rear, it did not have posi before and I got my hands on this one from a buddy cheap out of a car with ~60k on it.
It no longer has the stock 305 with quadrajet, its got a 350 out of what im not sure, and a four barrel eddelbrock carb.
-The engine needs a tune, I am by no means a mechanic and have not been able to time it 100% or tune the carb. I was basically able to get it to have loooads of power where it was spin the tires forever just by punching the gas, but then it started to detonate, so I messed with it all again and now it does not detonate ever, but hesitates some when you put your foot to the floor from a dead stop. Once you are driving, it picks up nicely.

Some things I noticed or remembered when taking pictures, the rear passanger taillight holder is cracked, looked like he painted right over it. And its got a rust spot on the rear pass quarter.

Haha yea, I tried my best to take care of her, the one bump she took in the quarter was when it was parked on the street and it happened over night. I was mighty upset, lol.

Thanks alot, wish you had the money too :) I really hate to get rid of her, but im between jobs and I bought the K5 and honestly, I like it better lol so the Monte has to go.

I need another project like a hole in the head, but will it make a drive back to NH?

Sorry I didnt get back to you all day, had 400+ miles of driving today, tons of fun, lol.

The furthest I have ever driven her was 150ish one way for two days and then home the 150ish again, never had a problem at all, NH is pretty far, but I really wouldn't see a problem.

Only thing, that I see I forgot to mention here, is that the vacuum control needs to be replaced or hooked up that controls the heater/ac controls, on long trips like that some heat leaks out of the vents on the floor, Never bothered me, I like having the windows open and it was a common enough problem that I figured id fix it eventually, I never got around to taking the dash off so it never got fixed, other then that, I would not see a problem with driving it. But it is 20+ years old, so no guarantees, you know? Lo Just trying to be honest.

TTT, will also trade for a diesel k5, not too worried about what it looks like, or the interior, but working guages are kind of necessary, and good running.
