I just rebuilt the 454 in my Suburban.
The motor runs well, anything above idle, but it hunts and surges at idle.
It seems to run very hot.
I realized that I did not put those little silver metal restrictors on the inlet manifold gasket EGR port.
Should I have put them in, and could it be the root of my poor running?
My brakes feel a little odd too....
