1987 chevy k10 gas guage wont work

i have a 1987 chevy v10/k10 350fi STEPSIDE and my gas guage is all the way to the right passed full. this truck originally had 2 gas tanks but the driver side tank was removed by previous owner i would just like 2 know if its a ground or something in the cluster or some wire

Yes a ground... theres a wire that goes from the sender to the frame on the same side, its usually a short wire a foot or so long.

thank you very much i found that ground and it was just kind of tucked under a washer and its bot a broken loop on the end of it thanks i appriciate it
