I really hate to sell this, but here goes. I need a daily driver since I got a new job and have to drive over an hour to get to and from work. My other car is a toy as well, and I can't afford to have two of them, so this one has to go.
The Jimmy is located in Barnhart, MO, about 20 miles south of downtown St. Louis.
It's a 1987 GMC Jimmy Sierra Classic. Same thing as a K5 Blazer. It's pretty complete and is road worthy. It has a 4" lift, blocks in the rear springs in front with 35x12.50xR15 BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires. I recently repaired all the rust in the floor and Herculined the entire interior. The interior looks great and is all there. The paint on the outside is in pretty good condition considering the age. The only real body rust is on the rockers of course, and on the fenders above the rear tires.
It has a carbureted 350 in it from a 1978 truck that has a lot of power, the carb has some hesitation though. It has long tube headers and full 3" exhaust, sounds great. Also, I've installed dual electric fans, and did away with the factory fan and clutch. Has 700R4 transmission with overdrive, shifts very well, and has factory 10 bolt axles, rear has 3.42 gears, not sure about fronts. 4WD works great, has a NP208 T-Case, brand new rear u-joints, brand new exhaust, nice JVC head unit, and a Cobra 29 Classic CB radio.
I have put a lot of time, and a lot of money into this vehicle.
I'm looking for $4000 or best offer, but better yet, I would like to trade for a vehicle I can daily drive. Looking for something like a Jeep Cherokee, or any SUV like that. I would prefer an SUV or truck that does good on gas, but I'll take offers on cars and such as well. Please email me and let me know what you have.
