1987 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme

This car is the reason I like the x pipe and the most fun of all the fast cars I have been lucky to drive or ride in. The Miata has a built 416 with heads big cam using a stand alone halltech ecu.. that car is 2400lbs and 500+ at the wheeels.. damn right violent.

Generic cams get you generic results. POS China cam cores don't help either. Specific build for specific results.

Are you shooting the video?

I feel like for what I want to do, it will be super important for me to match the cam and turbos. Since I am not looking for a big end max HP car, I want some smallish turbos that will spin quickly, especially since I really want build a handling car, I want something that will build boost every quickly out of a turn.

Exactly!!! :saweet:

Oh yeah, on the back end I'll need the cam to be matched well to allow the hair driers to work correctly.

208- pm sent.

Oh I should mention torque was mid 500ish. I can get dyno sheets and exact specs but it never made huge torque but it was weird, most cars would settle after you got up to speed but this one just kept pulling.. even that Miata ran outa steam about 150-160 the vette would pull hard to 5ths Rev limiter..

Unexpected update. The olds 350 sold.

Not bad for one guy only using hand tools, and a dinner break.

I like to call this "pro jackstand"

And lastly the elusive, never seen before, midwest driver side rear g body frame rail.

Meh, just a great way for a Gearhead to spend a Friday night. Alone with tools and car.

After digging back into this cars it sure has alot more scalely rust then I remembered. This is probably due to it sitting around the whole time I lived in Colorado, and my lack of remembering how much rust was on the car.

Nothing that is really that bad. It's still really solid. But it does make me rethink things some.
As in frame off. And rotisserie. I think that's the route I need to take with this car to have the level of car I wish to have.
Not sure yet. But I know I want to get into the frame and do some serious work to make this car handle. We'll see.
