Hello, brand new here. I have just started the restore of an 87 Blazer. I am looking to replace the solid rear slide glass with sliders. I can find every part I need for this truck with the exception of these windows and hardware needed. I prefer to buy new. Any help would be appreciated

I believe LMC sells them... May be wrong. I have an extra set of used ones.

LMC sells the glass and says is adaptable to the fixed window frames. I've personally never seen any site selling the extruded aluminum frame.

Check local FB market pages or junk yards if you want/need the frames.... If your near Philly I could let my extra one go.

I was really hoping for the set with the small deflective window up front. You do not by chance know if these parts can be purchased and added, do you?

I've never seen them. You may have to find a set of used ones. I see removable tops for sale on the Facebook Marketplace all the time. Some people give them away or sell them for a few hundred dollars. Your best bet may be to go that route.

I'm resurrecting this thread. I disassembled one of my cap side windows. I won't get into the steel screws I broke off.

I need to know if anyone has ever seen a source for the sliding glass felts in these windows.

I'm pretty positive that Chevrolet did not custom make these Felts for the side windows but instead used existing Window Felts that already fit the extruded aluminum frame.

The Window Felts had notches cut in it for the bends in the window frame. I'm sure I could make those myself. Does anybody know a wholesale or retail source for window felts?

LMC has the main rubber seal that fits around the outside edge of the window but they don't sell the window felts.

I purchased a standard window channel seal that was close to the dimension of the channel. It works but isn’t long enough, it was only available in 8’ lengths. Corners were a pain. I will admit I had no plan on the relief cuts, just cut come v’s in with side dikes as I went. I do not have record of what I purchased, it was 7 years ago. Still functional, I never glued it in place so the top side drops out in the back, opening the window puts it back in place:whistle:.

If you find something that works well, let us know. I would like to replace what I have. To find something that would work I measured the width and depth of the channel, as well as the thickness of the glass. What I bought was very close for the channel width and thickness of the glass, but was a little short on the height.
