So I see a 87 suburban diesel for sale, I am thinking about getting it, It runs good, fresh tranny, little rust, they are asking 1500 for it.....what do yall think.

I need to go and look at it. Never had a burban before. Is there anything I should check out on it or pay special attention to? I dont want to end up with an expensive fix, going to be a family ride.
Nothing real specific with them, other than they like to rust more than the pickups due to the design of the rear body. If it's a tailgate model, just make sure the lower hinges are still well attached under the body. And there are sure to be rust holes in the rear wheel houses, just make sure the quarters aren't flapping in the breeze because of it.
