hi all!

i have been looking for other seat options for the rear seat of our 1988 Blazer. i was looking up the seats for third row of suburbans. it seems like the 2000-2006 third row seats on suburbans/Yukon XL's. it seems that i can take the seat and then cut the floor out of the the 2000-2006 suburban. i would then have this floor welded into the floor of our blazer. this would allow for the 5 anchor points the seat uses. then the seat would be able to use the factory anchor points. has anyone done this?

The Tahoe / Suburban 3rd row seat install is a relatively common mod, if you search the Garage for "tahoe" or "3rd row seat", etc you'll find where a few members have done it. Most folks fab or buy brackets vs replacing floor sections.

The seats will fit perfectly. You can buy some brackets from Merrick or you can make stock mounting points work with a little fab work. I haven't completely finished mine yet, but when I do I'll put some pictures on my build thread. I'm using the stock mounts with some reinforcement done to the floor.

I built new brackets for the seat using the rear stock latch and a pivot on the front mounts. It folds and tumbles forward like a stock seat. If you weld its easy. If not I think there is only one bracket available and it only fits one generation of the tahoe seats.
