OK, well I'm a new guy... The names Aric. I've been reading threads for quite a while now. Finally bought my membership in on the place as I'd like to use your guys skills and ideas for my build. I hail from Nebraska and actually know a few of the regulars on this site.
After an exhaustive search for a 4WD, 1 Ton, Crew, Single rear wheel rig I finally found it outside of Helena Montana.
138K on the clock, PW/PW, with slide in camper. New rear end, transmission, transfer case, and more.
Truck is setup to tow with camper on. The camper is a 1974 Wilderness, everything works in the camper (bonus).
Truck also came with a new Skyjacker 6" lift kit for the truck and a set of brand new 35" tires that the guy never installed.
The truck has the fuel injected 454 with the turbo 400 transmission.
Got the Ol Boy for $5,700... Trucks name is "Clancy" since that's the towns name where I picked it up from.
The goal is to create my own ultimate Family hauler/expedition/Hunting/Camping/Off Roading/Pasture Rig... I've always wanted something like that for my family. I contemplated a Burb for a while but decided a Crew was the way to go for my needs.
These are the 35's... I'm not a fan of the chromies... will be looking for a set of Stockers with Caps
In Case anyone is interested: Camper Pics! 1974!!!
