1988 efi on a 77 block... Knock sensor?

You can use a brass adapter from the hardware store.. 1/4NPT female to a flare male fitting.. The knock sensor will screw into the pipe thread female side, and the male side of that adapter you can wrap some tefelon tape around it and thread it into the hole on the drivers side of the block for the manual clutch linkage assembly to bolt to.. that is if you're running and auto.
The hole isn't the same thread but with some tefelon tape it will thread in tight.

Pivot bolt for mechanical clutch in our trucks goes to the bellhousing, not the engine. My block isn't even tapped there.

appreciate the help. I decided to weld a couple nuts onto the pump block off plate. Won't have to drill any holes or get anything tapped... and the position is good for the frequency. Don't know y the chevy dealer techs didn't know this.
