1988 k-5 tailgate glass

[1988 K/5 Blazer]

Hi All, I have a 1988 k-5 Blazer a tree limb took out the tailgate glass. I am looking to replace it with the exact original factory tint. I have seen them list clear , green, and dark grey.
I am not certain what the original was. Is there anyway to find what tint the truck had? I bought it new and can not find which code signifies which tint.

Any help is greatly appreciated

You can look up your RPO codes here. https://rparts-sites.s3.amazonaws.com/dec399b0838336997484042ed2af1004/design/rpoCodes.pdf Linking a factory tint "name"/RPO to an actual color/% may not be possible. As you state, there are not many choices anyway when buying glass, so presumably you will have one custom tinted. I would not be surprised if the factory rear glass didn't match the factory side glass, but you might just ask the tint shop to match your side windows.

You know, or just buy the grey and live with it. From what I recall, the factory tinted glass was very expensive and more prone to shattering, but I haven't looked for years.

I would not buy clear glass, even if it had it originally. The heat is not nice in the summer. One of the tinted variations helps. I prefer dark tint, but if you don't have dark tint on the side windows, it may look odd. And maybe you don't care for it either.
