1988 K5 4 Speed

Yeah my thoughts exactly. Must be aiming for the more money than sense buyers.
That seems to work more often than you think. I don't ever seem to benefit from it, but I have seen it happen.

Congratulations to @78SWB for making a deal and hopefully a profit on one of his trucks! Making your hobby pay is awesome!

I have sold all of the parts off my 91 crew cab for more than I have paid for the truck.
You have to make it happen, theres no way I could actually afford this shit with a job.

Not only it's a regular k5, but he says nice interior but both bucket seats are ripped.
The whole truck is a 5/10 maybe. $5000 max.
People are crazy

I disagree. I had over 30 people in the first day blowing me up at $7500. It has a lot of good parts and is in nicer shape than a lot of k5s. Now is it worth 13-14k? Hell no but with rust fixed it’s got some valve. Especially right now.

There is SO MUCH of it all that's influenced by area. And add in the number of people who don't work on vehicles, but also want instant satisfaction when they get the idea of buying something, well then, a buyer is created for something that another person is ready to sell. Weeding out the ones who aren't serious is the only real problem.
The smog laws in the dry areas of the country drive the values down when it costs a decent amount to get an old truck to pass.
Maybe this K5 will get sold on the internet to someone who doesn't have to pay as much to get it shipped to them as it would cost to get one from farther west. :dunno:

@78SWB your signature line is in need of an update, again...

And I need to find some trucks to sell to you! Lol!

No I don’t. All I was told was a farmer bought it. I think Nick took this picture in South Lincoln a few months after it sold. You can see the person added some stuff to it.

This was a sweet rig. Loved how I didn’t care about getting it dirty or anything.
