Hey guys and gals!
My hubby (DK5 on here) and I are in the process of doing a complete tear down of our 1988 K5 civilian 6.2 diesel with plans to make it the way I WANT it! LOL
I really like the style of the round headlight blazers/jimmy's and I am hoping to have a really nice 1976 style two-tone white/blue chevy blazer. We have decided not to go full convertible since I am sensitive to the sun and I like the half cab look anyways.
Here is the truck we are working with:
This is the plan for the finished product, obviously with larger tires!
We have a long way to go. Currently we have the blazer interior stripped down and the front clip is off minus the rad support. We will have to remove the rad support and switch it out with the 1976 style in order to convert our front clip. Also the hood will require some modification where it meets the windshield d/t the windshield wipers. We will leave the '88 style dash for now, but I want some newer heated leather seats!
Anyway stay tuned for the build. We are currently on lockdown due to Covid 19, so we should be able to make some headway on this project! Wish me luck!
