I just purchased a 88 blazer from a friend of mine, it sat up for almost 3 years without being bumped over. I got it running after a little PM. This weekend I had the motor at operating temp running and went to adjust the timing I read in chiltons to disconnect the plug from the distributor cap to get rid of the computer advance and check the timing like that. I pulled one of the two plugs and pulled the wrong one as the motor immediately shut down, and since has not restarted even with the plug reconnected. No spark and now the injectors are no longer firing. The fuel pump relay is new and so is the coil. Did I zap the ign. control module? Other ideas?

Did you check fuses?

Don't think you can kill spark with the fuses, but I know you can injectors.

It is *probably* the module. There is a test for it, since good ones aren't cheap, and of course need to check that all wiring is good. It's not the store test either, I just don't have the procedure here handy.

This all assumes you've done a good visual inspection of all wiring! :)

You probably fried the module. Also so you know you don't disconnect a wire at the distributor to set timing. The wire that you need to disconnect is located near the brake booster and should be a single brown wire.
