I am selling my tow rig as I got a new DD. 1988 Chevrolet Suburban 3/4 Ton 2 wheel drive with 454 TBI and TH400 trans. Trans is a Delco rebuilt, not sure of mileage, but it shifts firmly. 454 runs good and uses very little oil, but is lacking the power it might have had from the factory. It towed my 6500# truck and 2000# trailer, anywhere I wanted to go. Even up and down the windy roads to Byrons! It has 188K registered, but I am sure it has a few good miles left. This truck gets normal 454 TBI gas mileage (10 mpg or so). It has receiver hitch and trailer brake controller, with big plug ready for your trailer. Alpine deck, nothing fancy.
It is Red/White with Grey interior - Goodmark steel Cowl Hood. Body is in good shape with near zero rust. There are a couple of surface bubbles that showed up this past winter. I will post up pics of these if needed. Everything works as far as I know and A/C Blows cold.
Its actually a very clean rig for its year. I believe it was an Arizona truck from what I was told when I bought it - It definately did not grow up here in MO because of it lacking rust in the bottom. I will throw in a 89-91 core support, wiring harness and headlight buckets to convert it to the newer grille.
