1989-1990 - K5 owners - need help

Question – for guys that have 89-90 K5 with 4 headlight… are the high beams supposed to be the lights on the outside ?

Low beam – inside
High beams – outside
Is this correct ?

please check for me and confirm

Low beam outside

The inner ones are DRLs if yours is equipped and when you pull the knob to turn the low beams on, it switches to the outers.

High beams are the inner ones.

Mine came with them from the factory. It's a requirement on Canada if the vehicle was manufactured after '88. Just check your fuse block under the steering column to see if you have the 15 amp fuse slot labeled DRL

My 91 doesn't have DRL's, although it would be neat. I dont think they were required here until the mid 90's.

top/bottom 81-up is

top = low/high
bottom = high

and 89-91 style is

outer = low
inner = high
