Is there any difference between SRW and DRW frames?

I have a 1989 1ton 4x4 crewcab that has some cab damage and an bad 6.2L diesel. There is a nice 1ton 2wd crewcab complete with a TBI 454 and all the cab features such as A/C, P/W, P/L. I'm thinking about buying the 2wd truck and installing my tranny, transfercase, D60, and drivelines in it. I know I'll have to cut out the tranny tunnel out of the 4x4 one and weld it into the 2WD cab. The 2WD drive truck is selling pretty cheap, so it seems like a pretty easy way for me to get a nicer truck and a big block if the frames are the same.

Your question is actually about 2wd vs 4wd, these frames are different. At least for 4x4's, srw and drw frames are the same.

I was so focused on the SRW vs. DRW point that I didn't even think about 2WD vs. 4WD. What are the differences in the 2WD to 4WD frames?
