Hi guys,
I would like to know whether my 1989 GMC 1500 with a 350 V8 W/TBI Rear seal is a 2 part seal or one solid part. any help will be greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance, Regards.

that new if stock engine should be 1 piece rear . if I recall my older stuff 100% correctly.

Yes sir, It is stock. It's leaking so bad and I would like to order the seal before take the trans down. Just bought it. I am not good with Gas mechanic. done Diesel mechanic most of my life.

gas is cleaner to work on . :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

there almost the same exact style as a cummins rear in a 8.3 I say 1 time . so if you can do one of them then should be easy for ya .

its pressed in a aluminum seal holder that bolts to the block .

15mm swivel head socket / looooong ext / 13mm for few nuts on stub bolts gets you bell housing unbolted .

then 3 bolts for tourqe convertor and slide in to tranny just a bit .

then few electric plugs and crossemember and she be coming out . .. possible tight fit with exhaust crossover .

and hope you using a shop lift and tranny jack or it will take a bit longer .

floor jack under engine oil pan at back with block of wood to support back of engine so it dosnt drop to far and bust the ignition module in the distributer and create a no start .
