1989 K5 Heater Core

Engine side of the firewall?

I get a can of the rubberized undercoat that they sell at every parts store/ wallmart, and spray a nice thick coat over all the seam that I can reach. Bam! just like from the factory in 30 seconds for under 8 bucks.

That reminds me, I need to go do this right now.

Thanks but mines a little to clean to do it that way. It will be more show then get down and dirty

No chevy should be left that clean.
Shame on you.:shame:

Sorry I bought it 23 1/2 yrs ago for my 20th birthday, so I don't want to mess this one up. Never had any rust or wrecked just bad hail damage and a few small other dents.

Want to get another one when I'm done putting this one back together to go wheel and get dirty.:D

What exactly is "Bad Hail Damage?"

Where I live hail is pebble sized and rare...

I imagine the truck looking like a golf ball...not that I have personal experience either. We rarely get hail, and it's always tiny stuff. I have seen TX hail on video though and those baseball size chunks of ice do not look friendly to sheetmetal!! :eek1:
