Picked up this 89 v1500 suburban today for $1800. It will be my daily driver. I can’t seem to find time to put an engine in my v2500 suburban, so I bought this.

Supposedly it only has 70k miles. Judging by the pedals and interior I believe it.

Put about 30 miles on it cruising around. Everything works even the cruise control. Very tight and fun to drive. I decided to order a set of 33/10.5/15s for it. Hopefully the 3.42s get along with them.

Got the tires installed today. I’ve put about 100 miles on it so far, and I really enjoy driving this thing.

Welp the heater core started leaking on this last week.

Got it all replaced. What a shitty job. Broke 2 of the 3 studs off, so I used some way to long 1/4 carriage bolts (all I had available at the time). I threw on a new air filter and a set of floor mats while I was at it. I hope I don’t need to do another one of these anytime soon.

It only takes an old door lock rod and some booger welds
