1989 V2500 govsurplus ride

tagged and drove from Germantown, Maryland to Delaware
no issues
sitting in Delaware doing some yard work..

Hmm, rusty on one side, I guess it was close to the ocean all the time parked in the same position.
But for an 89 2500 and in good running condition, not bad for a deal.

it's an old NOAA vehicle.
base model/5.7-V8 injected/turbo 400/roll up windows/vinyl seats/very dark tinted all rear windows/AC/PB/PS/class 3 tow hitch/rear overide springs (factory?) /tilt wheel/factory am/fm radio that works !

We did have to put in a new altnerator yesterday..$69 rebuilt, easy RR
3 bolts/changed oil/spark plugs both EZ accessible.

has rust on both ft. rockers/rust on both rear fender lowers
headliner is saggin here/there.

took 5 hours to wash, it's a very large vehicle.never had one before.
tires are like new/spair still has the tits..ha!
will take/post some close up photos today when the sun comes out..
surplus vehicles in this area are sometimes taken care of and sometimes just trashed..we did inspect but battery(2 year old battery) was dead, gov docs stated drove to site for sale.`

Yeah batteries can be jumped and vehicle can drive to the lot for sale.
I bought one off an auction too and when I couldn't get it started they came and gave me a jump, I was fine with that I got a $7k Van for $1400, and put a battery in it used it for 2 weeks to move and then turned and sold it quick for $3500.
I loved buying from auctions, bought a bunch in 2002-2004.
Made good money too and helped friends and family buy great deals.

Nice burb:waytogo: I'd ditch the overloads if I wasn't going to tow much.

Just look up "RPO codes" and you'll be able to look up alot of those.
