Dual galvenized? Help against rust any? It felt a little thicker, didnt see any, but im in texas. Im more just trying to see what year of blazer is better, the 90, the 79, or an 85.

Older is thicker. We had golf ball size hail for about 45 minutes one day in July 2004. The '91 S-10, '90 Suburban, and '94 Suburban all got severely thrashed. The insurance adjuster estimated 150+ dents on EACH of the hoods. We couldn't find a single dent on the '75 K5.

But the newer ones do have more factory rust protection...

I'm just cutting up my '78 as it's rotten to hell. My '91 is getting all the good parts off of the '78 as it has hardly any rust at all. The only spots it has are where stones have chipped thru the galvenizing. Underneath is as new still....and that's after 10 years of British weather and salted roads!
