I Changed my front brakes and adjusted the rear brakes .released the park brake and pulled it up,checked all the fuses brake lights etc the brakes seem to be released but the brake light stays on .Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this ? I'm out of ideas .

Just to clarify, are you talking about the brake warning lamp in the dash or the tail lamps? The warning lamp either means the parking brake is partially engaged or there is a problem in the braking system. The brake light switch activates the rear tail lamps.

Well, what was it? If you post the answer it could help someone later. That light turns on with the ground I believe, so the button for the parking brake might still be pressed, or the wire is cut and touching metal, or low fluid.
