any frd guys on here.......lol.............sorry , i know , dont flame me too bad .........anyways is there any way to pull the diagnostic codes from the computer without a diagnostic tool? like on the older chevys that you could use a paper clip and plug it into the aldl and make the engine light blink to determine the codes? its a buddies 1990 f 150 pickup and i really dont want to buy a scan tool as this is the only ford i will probably ever work on , thanks

you can take it to advance or autozone and i believe they will scan it for free

if the older fords are like chryslers you can cycle the key and count how many times the engine light blinks
