picked this one up last night, 1990 GMC 1500 4x4 350 700R4 NP241 fully loaded. $1500

Things needed:
matching wheels
new tires (due to having the spare on it)
the PO lives in salt lake city now, it was her brother in law who was doing the selling part so I have the key to the ignition but no door keys. she is getting the other keys in the mail today.
a coolant temp sensor (not for the gauge)
blower motor resistor or relay rear heat works, front heater fan does not

went outside and took a couple pics with my phone, the interior is in really good shape for someone who has kids, but the driver seat back leans too far back, I need to see if the brace is broken.

Nice score! I would love to find another 89-91 GMC Suburban to put back,I don't ever want to be without one. They are getting harder to find in nice shape, at least in these parts.

ya I had a 1991 2500, good drivetrain but the body was shot. this one has a good body and looks to be a good drivetrain

got it titled today and ordered up about $250 in tune-up parts and new shocks all the way around from rockauto

i have never ever ever ever had so much trouble getting an oil filter off an engine, and I used to work at jiffy lube lol

the heater control valve has started leaking and because this has the rear heat it is a special valve that GM doesn't make anymore, only place I have found it is in LMC for $200+ with shipping. so I will bypass the valve for now and order a new one after the first of the year if I don't find a good used valve. I would just get rid of the rear heat but the PO put a new heater core back there and it works really well.

What are you gonna do with it?

Martin

its going to be our family vacation rig, camping, fishing, hunting. later on I am looking at making some changes to it and use it to pull my car trailer but that will be a ways down the road.

bypassed the heater valve the other night and trouble shot why the heater fan in the front was not working, lastnight I put a new blower motor in and I have wonderful heat this morning, now I just need a new valve and I will have good heat front and rear.

got some new meats on it today, I think this is the smallest tire I have ever bought. 31x10.50x15
