Hello all, looking to replace my Evap core on my 90. Essentially I’m looking for advice on a good brand or buy since GM no longer makes it.

Thanks

Everything aftermarket sucks nowadays, but Murray brand seems to be ok most the time.

I'll try to remember this post, my new one is showing up today from RockAuto. I bought the 4 seasons one. Hopefully, a reliable brand name, that I atleast recognized. Mine is for my 73, Chloe
Available at many places

I used Four Seasons on all my AC Parts for the complete restoration going from R12 to R134a in my 85. I did go with the UAC Condensor due to the fit on the Core Support ...

I purchsesed everything from either Amazon and RockAuto with the exception of the PAG 150 and Freon, I got locally.

I picked up the 4 seasons one. Hope for the best I guess. The OEM is packed with debris on the air intake side. Not worth cleaning when I’ve torn the entire HVAC assembly out for cleaning/ reseal and a heater core too.

If you are replacing the Heater Core, I would go with Summit Racing and purchase the Brass core and not the aluminum cores that are beign sold everywhere.

The Aluminum Cores are going between $40-$50 dollars and the Brass is about $75, but well worth it since factory in that era were brass.

Just my opinion.

Definitely. Already used the summit core. Much better option for sure. The Harrison core I pulled out, I presume OEM was in great shape but with the possible of it being 33 years old it had to go.

So, here is the evaporator core I ordered from RockAuto. It's very similar to the one that came out of the truck originally. Just much cleaner, and not clogged with 50+ years of shit. No complaints so far.
