Hey guys, i dont visit here much, but i am going to look at a 1990 k5 in about 15-30 minutes and i need to know how much floorboards are new.. Just in case the boards are rotted, which they most likely are.. i need an answer quick.. thanks

there cheap i think like 25 buck a pop. i doubght they would be on a 90 though.

If I recall correctly LMC had them for like 100-200 for both. I priced them a year ago for my 88. Don't qoute me on this though I cannot find my book right now, but that should be close. The worst spot to look for is in the rear wheel well looking up and forward. Thats been the worst areas I have seen. Also under the carpet in the rear at the body mounts and the rear edge by the tailgate. Good luck and keep us posted.

i wouldn't put it past any truck in this state... :wink1:

I am replacing my entire Floor pan and I am up around $500-$600 bucks. I am using LMC Truck.

That sure is a hell of alot of metal if your in the 5-600 dollar range. like i said floorboards are cheap. only 32 a pop, i was a lil low. hell if you got rockers, floorboards, inner rockers, hell everything on the page your at under 100 a side

those front floor and tailpan prices are high.. especially the front floor.. where is that from?

like i said, thats alot of metal:D most people wont have to replace an entire floor. especially a 90. i know we are in the rust belt but unless the carpet was constantly damp i cant see it being that bad. doest mean it cant happen, i would just be really suprised is all.

lmc prices and jc was the same if i remember when i did my floors

So the floor boards on a k5 and pick up are the same cause the catalog says $99 for the front floor boards on a k5.

as far as i knew the very front ones are the same ive never seen one thats differant. the pickup as a differant rear section of the floor put the actual floorpans themselves are the same

well the floorboards were clean, except for rust around the seat mounts, which is normal.. but the thing ran like ****.. i thought we were gonna get stranded with the thing, it was horrible

how much did he want? and where in Joysey are ya?

I dont know but a pretty much rust free k5 in the belt is worth it even if it runs like **** how was the rest of the body?

the rest of the body was clean, but the motor was definately on its way out. it smoked the smell of oil and he said its not gonna be running for much longer... he had it listed for 2200 obo but im sure if i offered 1k for it he would have taken it because he needed to sell it basically before saturday.. im in morris county in Jersey ryoken

always tough finding a good bodied one in this state.... at a grand, it sounds like a decent project vehicle for a crate motor....

jersey shore here..

I'd be a little leary of LMC body panels. I had one of there floor boards welded in, and it was cheap chinese metal that was thinner gage than the OE stuff. Not to mention it didnt fit, and the "new" passenger side floor board pops. Cheap crap from lmc that I will never buy again.
