I was changing out the oil pan this weekend and If I were to chose not to connect the oil cooler lines back up.... Can I just take the lines off the oil filter adapter housing and just put plugs in them fitting holes. The oil cooler hose is spinning on the crimped end so I would beleive its just a mater of time before it comes apart, or it might even blow by if I were to hook them back up today. I am not sure if they are truly supposed to spin like that.

You should inspect the flow. If I were eliminating the oil cooler I would replace the adapter with regular filter mount.

They just bolt in with a paper gasket, and 5/16 x18 bolts
