So it seems as if I am starting to here a little wine noise from my 4x4 shift selector. If I put it in 2wheel or 4wheel it seems to do it, It also seems to go with engine rpm.

anyone have some trouble shooting starting points. It shifts in and out smoothly, it seems to be functioning just fine

Check the front shaft and see if it's spinning or not. Then inspect your ujoints. That's a good start.
