1990 suburban 2wd to 4wd swap

hey guys havent been on in a while, i have a 1990 chevy 2wd half ton and i also have a 1978 chevy single cab 4x4. i was wondering how hard a swap would be?? to put the straight axel, transfer case ext.... in the burb. any help or has anyone done this befor? let me know fellas thanks McCord
