So i just bought a 1990 blazer with 137,000 miles on it . Passed smog no problem after sitting two years two weeks ago. The truck has been running strong until today. I drove to work no problems then around noon im driving to go get some tires and then all of a sudden truck just doesn't want to accelerate, the service engine ligh comes on and i putt putt back to work the truck sounds like it's not getting enough gas. I pulled the air cleaner off and turned the key on and no fuel coming out of injectors when i pull the throttle. I can start it with a little starting fluid and it runs erratic,i pull the throttle and less gas comes out of the injectors the higher it runs. It wont idle correctly . There is gas pumping, there is gas coming out past the filter. i changed the fuel filter im getting a tester tomorrow so i can see what codes it throws. Please any input would help . I sold my beater truck that got me to work and all i have is my blazer . I need my ride back!

?

Gonna check codes in a secong looking for a damm paper clip! Im thinking it's the fuel pump too the filter was really clogged u think it may have burned it out trying to get gas through?

flash pause flash flash

flash pause flash flash that's all i get ? dropping the tank tomorrow changing pump .

Something else to mention about the code flashing. It will flash each code 3 times. so it'll show code 12 3 times then go to next code.

got it!

I got my ride back. It was the damm plastic hose that connects the fuel pump to sender, the damm thing burst. The guy at the parts store said it was fuel injection hose im guessing he was wrong. So went to get me some fuel injection hose and started up like a champ. I told my wife that if she wanted to get me the best b-day present next month that she would have to get me my official membership to CK5! Thanks everyone.
