I'm researching the easiest option to get rid of the EGR on my NA 6.2. Yes I know its been covered extensively, Some say remove it and plug the vac lines then pound a freeze plug in the hole. I'd like to do a J code intake but just looking at doing it with what I have right now. Has anyone used the freeze plug method? If so what size plug?

I know I can wire open the EPR or remove the butterfly and plug the holes but I was thinking if I found a passenger side J code exhaust manifold that it would have the proper length without the valve to hook the exhaust back up, Sound logical? Just kind of want the valve gone all together.

I do believe the intake swap is the best way but what about the exhaust manifold swap C-code to J-code? What do you think?

I might have what you need. Pics of your current intake and egr system?

Swapping to a N/A 6.5 Optimizer intake/exhaust manifolds would do you some good I think.

Slapping this intake tube onto my set up with a cone filter on the end would give you about 20-30 hp.

Edit: you could spend a few thousand getting minuscule amounts of power on a N/A but If you are serious about wanting more power. Turbo the beast!

Not really after horsepower just looking at the sickening amount of soot in my intake got me thinking. Are those HUMVEE manifolds? I didnt know NA 6.5 had tubular style manifolds? I'll post some pics of the intake & exhaust for you.
