Hey all,

It's been a while since I've been here. Truth be told I sold my 87 Jimmy and lost interest.

I'm looking at a 1991 Chevy Suburban, and was wondering what axles are typcially in those. I've also seen some stuff about 56 vs 52 inch rear springs as well. Is there one more common then the other?

Thanks again,
Tim

if its a 1/2 ton its gonna be 10 bolts front and rear. if its a 3/4 ton its gonna be 10 bolt, and a semi floating 14 bolt rear(?).

and if it's been previously owned my someone on here, it's probably got a d60, 14bff, and plenty of body damage. :haha:

Thanks for the info everyone.

I was still looking for information about the 52 Vs 56 inch axels. Is it the distance from the two mounting points that determines this?
