1991 Chevy K5 Blazer with 89K original miles

Same as above. I can change out the axles for a set out of a 1991 3/4 ton Suburban. Should be bolt in w. 4.10 gears. I have a 30 spline Detroit for the 10b front.

I really, really like this truck a lot.

After looking at your signature, I can see why :waytogo:. I really like it too. This is the first year I have driven it a signigicant amount. It goes down the road nice. The biggest gripe I have is that the gears (5.13s) are too deep for the 35s and it revs higher than it should on the highway. Taller tires would cure that. I just don't have the heart to cut out sheet metal that is in such nice shape to get them to fit. I may just cut the front fangs off and move the front axle forward an inch. Then go with 37s on H2s and see if that is a good working set up. Or maybe someone will buy it and I can focus my efforts on another project in the wings...

I wish I had the money to buy it. This would cure all my problems in one fell swoop.

It looks like you have a pretty nice foundation to work with. And it seems like you are going in the right direction. Most importantly, you are out there wheeling :waytogo:.

I go to an annual wheeling event every year called Fall Crawl. I saw a budget built blazer that was keeping up with buggies. No lift, narrowed truck cab, and a rear steer 60 on 40s. There is also a lot to be said for lightening the load. I think the same effect could be achieved by putting an s-10 cab on a K5 frame. Do a hybrid cage after that and wheel the dickens out of it. It doesn't have to be fancy or expensive to be effective off-road.
