seriously...if he doesnt pay you the $500 in 24hrs do a second chance offer to the other bidders. If he pays you the $500 and doesnt pay the balance then second chance it and you made $500, plus do a non-paying bidder and you relist for free and dont pay the seller fee till it sells again.

Not necessarily. Good quality American vehicles are in high demand in Mexico and South America and are worth top dollar. Just be sure you get certified payment and not a cashiers check, money order, or credit card. PayPal via eBay (seller protection), Western Union or a wire transfer are about the only legit ways nowadays.

But congrats! See, you didn't need to reduce your price! :D
 
Deposit has been made. I'll keep you posted on shipping. Thanks for the suggestion. I've always heard selling cars on Ebay is tough because so many people bid with the intent on not paying and I didn't want to deal with that. Really wish I didn't have to sell it. I know I probably will not find one that clean again unless I want to pay a lot more. My idea was to keep that for at least 20 yrs and maybe till I died.

ebay works great for me
 
Please be sure that you accept only certified payment like I mentioned. PayPal (and be sure you actually log in and check your balance, don't trust the emails!), wire transfer, or Western Union are the ONLY ways to get paid and not get ripped off.

Cashiers checks, money orders, so-called escrow sites, etc., are all easily forged.

I'm beginning to think its bogus. I got the 500 in my paypal acct and have transfered it to my bank acct but havent heard from him since Sunday. He want to ship it to Israel but his ebay acct says he is in Mexico. He wanted to do a T.T Transferand I told him Western Union or cash. Funny thing is, a guy from Birmingham has been calling me and wants it for 8500 if this guy backs out. Said he would fly here and drive it back which is what I did only opposite.

How many days did you give him for full payment?

if he doesnt meet that deadline offer it to the other person and file for non-paying buyer thru ebay....it will work out

Sounds like a SCAM dude.
 
TT transfers appear to be legit EXCEPT you are charged a fee to receive it. If you do it, assess a fee to cover your costs.

I would pick it up from a bank with whom you do not hold your primary accounts. So if you bank at Wells Fargo, go to Bank of America. have them give you cash and you're good to go.

I did the exact same thing with the Tahoe, I bank at a credit uniun, but had them send the money to wells fargo where I had them cash it...walked a away happy
 
I received 10,000 to my paypal acct and talked to someone at paypal that said it was risking because of the money coming from two different accts and him not using a shipper that can be tracked. He is just having a friend pick it up for him. So I refunded his money and told him cash in person only and I am meeting his friend at my bank. The truck is getting inspected tomorrow by a company he paid and if it checks out his friend is coming this week. I'm ready to be done with it now.
