1st time poster. I recently purchased a 1991 k5 and removed the hard top. When trying to reinstall one of the mounting bolt receivers on the passenger side roof section (first bolt on the vertical portion of the top) fell inside the body. Now there is no way to secure the mounting bolt…..any ideas? Is there something that can be inserted through the mounting side and expand like a toggle bolt to allow it to snug up?

I had same issue on my 84, ( same exact spot you have issue with) body shop some how welded in a nut and its as strong as oem setup.
You need a nut cert kit
