I was recently experiencing some misfire issues with my 1991 GMC Jimmy, however, I found that the issue was my plug wires. One of the heat shields by the manifold broke off and melted two of my spark plug boots. I went ahead and replaced the wires, the plugs, air filter and PVC. The issue I was experiencing with the misfire (backfire, cutting out) is gone and it runs great on the road, but when I'm at idle it's still a little rough, like its idling to low. I checked my plugs and all the stuff I changed, and it looks good. Anything else I can troubleshoot? In park and neutral it idles a little better.

Vac leaks usually give you a higher idle speed though...
