I am looking for a column that will work with my 1991 Jimmy. Currently has a non-tilt column but based on the Chevrolet horn in it, was swapped in at some point. All that it has is the variable speed wipers. I would like to put a tilt column in that has cruise in it as well. (I plan to rebuild the column and source all the stock cruise components)

What columns are interchangeable for a 91? I would like to keep it very stock but not sure what else I can source from. Guessing same era Burbo (obviously a chevy k5 as well)..... and I am assuming anything that is 88-91. What options am I missing? Are there any other vehicle that shared the exact same column?

You can use earlier than 88 as well, it all depends on how the donor vehicle was equipped (I put an 87 burb on an 85 K5) and gained variable speed wipers and cruise control capability. I don't remember when (or if) you start running into different wiring/neutral switch and such, but I would imagine it would be in the early 80's. C/K truck columns of similar vintage should also work. Suburbans are the most likely donors, since they were family haulers and more likely to be better equipped.

Any square body column will fit, you just need to find one with the options you want. Tilt, automatic tranny, etc. 1984 was the first year for wipers & hi beams on the column, so you won't find what you want on an older rig.

Switches can be swapped back and forth if you want to put in the effort.

The wiper control and ignition switches are not interchangeable between tilt and non-tilt columns.
