Ok this is what I am planning to do. I found a 1988 complete tbi 454 w/comp and harness. For $550.00. I was thinking of putting it into my 1991 K5. I have a few questions. My Blazer has 3/4 ton 8 lug axles 4.10 gears and 305 70 16 tires. The poor girl looses oil psi when it gets hot.

1. Speedometer the 91 is electric the 88 is cable. If I switch PROM chips will the speedometer work. Or do I need to switch IP's and go with an older IP. If so how do I get a VSS to the comp.

2. Will it fit without modifing the core support? I just put coated headers dual exhaust on my SBC. Will BBC collectors come out in about the same spot?

3. My 91 has a 4 speed auto should I switch to a TH 400?

4. Is it worth doin? I have an awesome shop at my house. Lift, welder, air, Bridgeport ect.
