Hey guys,

Putting the 91 Suburban back together after paint.

Finding some of the 89-91 parts hard to come by.

First, body side moldings and emblems?

LMC has "cut it yourself" rolls, anyone sell precut?

The rear corner moldings have been unavailable for many years and can't be replaced by the roll stuff since they are hanging below the body line. Hopefully you saved your originals. They hold fine with new 3-M body molding tape, even if you don't use the screws. The cut to fit works fine everywhere else, but of course the ends are not finished the same as the factory ones.

Funny you mention the corners.

I was about to post about those, and found out lmc sells them now. $100 for the pair, so not cheap, but cool you can get them.

We’ll see how the roll stuff works. Lmc and some LA custom place list precut products, but both are out of stock.

I’m not an expert but looking for them for my suburban, I believe blazer and burb are different corner trims. I feel like they were different oem part numbers.

I think they are different (and LMC doesn't list any for Suburban), but it would be interesting to see how close it is. Like if the front edge ends up not perfectly vertical, can you cut the end of the roll trim to match?

Interesting. Didnt catch that when I ordered.

Although, they look like the ones I pulled off. We’ll see what arrives.

These guys will do precut side trim. I’ll try the roll stuff, and buy from the as a backup.

Burb corners don’t match blazer corners. :-(

Any tips to restore originals? Going to be next to new trim

Thinking spray paint the chrome strip?
And use a black trim paint or restorer on the rest?

Crazy or genius, you decide. Use the originals for measurements. Draw it up in a slicer and get a roll of black TPU filament. Somebody probably sells chrome strip in a pretty similar size, so you leave a recess in your part for that strip. Or use the 3-D printed part as just a holder for more of the roll stuff.

Ok, back to this thread.

Ordered custom precut side molding from route la custom.

Will cobble something together for corners. Maybe some roll product plastic welded to remnants of the old ones.

Grill bow tie is killing me. My old one broke in the cold when trying to remove from old grill.

The classic industries one is out of production.

Any sources for a 91 quad headlight grill badge?

Anyone use another year that looks factory ish?

I have this one I am pretty sure from my broken 91 grill.
