Holland Oh.
HELP!!!! I have a 91 3/4 ton 454 TBI 4L80 Sub. From 75 to 80 mph. It feels like It has a governor??

like it doesn't want to go faster? What size are your tires? Its gotta be a 2wd saying the 454.......

HOw much faster you trying to go? Can't win a speed race in a bread box....at some point aerodynamics catches up with oyu. That being said though, i did 85+ for a few seconds in my 91 4x4 with the 350, so u should be able to......

His rig is 4X4. He has a writeup on it posted on here somewhere. It's a cherry rig.
As far as the problem goes, does it feel like someone threw an anchor out or it's slipping?
My '91 'Burb V2500 4L80E is doing some snakey shat too.

Since someone says it is a 4x4 is it a swap in 454? If so, did you change out the TBI, reprogram the chip? I'm sure it's been said here a time or two, that a stock 350 TBI will start and run on 454 but will run lean and end up burning up the motor. With that info, I would think that at some point it would starve the engine at top speed.

But he says TBI, the one in the build (at least first page) shows an "exotic" GM motor, so either it's been changed, different vehicle, or he's BS'ing us that it's TBI. :)
