My 1991 4x4 crew cab srw will pull to the left at speeds of about 25 to 45. It goes straight down the road most of the time and all of a sudden you fell a left pull on the truck? When you turn the wheel to the right to correct the pull you feel tension pulling to the left and then all of a sudden the left tension snaps out of it and contuines to go straight again..I replaced the tie rod that connects both left and right wheel and it still does it...before I buy more parts..I just wanted to ask and see if any one has had this problem or knows something about this...

oh and the truck does not have a lift...

If its not the brakes, check the tire pressures. A low tire can pull a vehicle over.

make sure theres no cops behind you, they'll have a tendency to make your truck pull one way or the other as well.;)

Brakes would my first thought, but I've had tire places tell me that the tires can do it. It's cheap and easy, so try switching tires left-to-right up front.

After that, yeah, calipers and brake lines, plus maybe have the rotors cut.

Could maybe be steering, but that's debatable.

I've not experienced it as you describe, but I'd check all your spring mounts to the axles. Probably way out there in the list of possibilities, but if it's not consistent nor immediately after letting up on the brakes, I don't see it being brakes nor tires.

My Dads truck sheared one of the spring pack pins in the rear, and gave an interesting ride for quite some time before that spring pack slipped on the axle. Interesting thing was it was "normal" most of the time, then all of a sudden the truck would swerve, then back to normal, until finally it failed, luckily at low speed, off road.
