You'd do better off putting this in the wanted, engines, or garage forum. This particular forum is for 88+ Fullsize GM IFS trucks.

Errr wait...your sig says '92 but your post and post title say '91...which is it?

Still, those places would be a good place to start.
Also, try www.car-part.com .

I had one of them.

Engine should be the same as any '91-95 350 TBI motor. I think it was '91 was the last change to the setup. At the very least the shortblock would be the same.

Last I knew GMPP had a short and long block 350 setup that was a bolt in replacement for the TBI engines. They also have a HO version...I wanna say 290hp?

So the simple question is why is there water in the oil? If its a head gasket leak thats like $50. If its a trans cooler in the radiator it might be $100

Its not the radiator, its prob a head gasket or head. I am in the process of cleaning up the garage and making the CUCV drivable for daily use while I work on this rig...

Wife is very protective of her ML, so yah not allowed to drive it to work...

The motors varied a lot more than i originally thought. The 94 tbi i had in my blazer reved very free, had some decent power in the upper range.

The 91 tbi motor i have (may be a crate, who knows) hates to rev. And the oil filter is vertical (yay) vs the horizontal one on the 94.

Yeah, but I want to say the engines were basically the same. I have an article about it somewhere around here...probably packed already...

87 when TBI started it was more like a carb'd engine with a scabbed on TBI, then there was a change, and then '91 I believe it changed too what was used until the Vortec 5700 in '96.

Agreed, same basic engine. Just the personality the "stock" ones can have varies greatly.

I really hate to admit what the REAL issue with this truck was...

The intake was leaking.. so bad that water was pouring out the back of the intake on the PS...

I am in the process of fixing this issue, so when I went to remove the intake and several of the bolts were loose... no wonder the gasket failed....

Next time I will do my own engine work.. I had a 'friend' install this intake about 8 months ago...
