Guys I got a line on this so what would be required to swap a 1993 non-turbo 6.5L diesel and 4L80E in place of a 350 TBI. The 4L80E is not an issue as I am already running one mated to my 205. What will I need for motor mounts, exhaust, inside the fuel tank etc.

Second question... is this a good motor? Can I swap a turbo on it? What would be required for this?

Thanks in advance.

Your going to need the computer from the donor. Your current computer takes a lot of input from the TBI motor, not so much on a 6.5 with a mechanical pump. Motor mounts and exhaust should bolt right up to the factory manifolds (at least they have the same exhaust exit location on a '79 350 and '84 6.2L).

I have a stand alone GMPP controller. The motor I plan on swapping is a 1993 6.5 mated to a 4L80E. It has all controllers, computers, accessories etc with it (even the radiator). I plan to use the 4L80E controller as well as the 4l80E from the 6.5 because mine is a newer PWM TC and the 1993 controller will probably fry it.
