Hey there, recently picked up a new toy. 93 gmc suburban sle. It has rear heat and ac. My question is how do it get it to work? I haven't had one of these new fangled vehickles, with all these fancy do dads before.

When I turn on the rear with the center console switch, or if I reach up and behind me to the over head switch it blows air, good and strong, but its cold air. Even while the front is pumping out heated air.

So is there some hidden switch I have to push to get the warm air out the rear over head vents? Or what am I not doing right?

Thanks for the help ;)

check and make sure your coolant lines are still connected, sometimes they get the chop due to corrosion.

Do the rear controls have a temperature switch? If not you only have rear a/c unfortunately. If yes, look above.

Nope no temp switch, just fan speed... That makes sense as to why it pumps out cold air. And there are only two sets of hoses running to the back....seems kinda odd to me, all that space and only heat in the front? Oh well, at least I never sit back there ;)

The heat in those things works better than the A/C does, that's why the A/C beats the heat 2 to 1.

Rear heat was still a relatively high end option at the time, and yours is only an SLE, if it was an SLT, you'd prolly have rear heat.
