1993 k3500 6.5td

Found a 93 GMC Sierra with the 6.5TD in it. This is supposedly the one of two years of the mechanically injected 6.5, true? I was wondering if anyone had any tips or things to look for when going to look at this truck?

It's got 202k miles on it, so I know the 4L80E is approaching the end of it's life if it hasn't had a fluid change or any regular service, but I know very little about diesel engines. Any help would be great, I'm looking to make this thing a DD and don't want to lose my butt on it. Thanks guys for any help.

Thanks Russ! I'll give that a better read over tonight. I've got a buddy closer to the truck going to take a look later this week and then if it gets his ok I'm gonna pocket some cash and take a ride up there to check it out my self.
