1/2 ton status
Pros
-20000 on new crate 350 motor from GM
-20000 on rebuilt 4l60e tranny
-14 Bolt Full Floater rear end, converted to 6 lug and disc brakes. New pinion and carrier bearings.
-Superlift 4" lift kit.
-Year old 33" BF Goodrich Muds
-Pioneer CD player
-New clutch for the fan
-New exhaust manifolds
-New cat and Y pipe
-Year old 3 chamber flowmaster
-4:10 gears
-Electric brake controller for trailer brakes
-Viper 550 alarm with remote start. Window module is half installed.
Cons
-223000 miles on the truck
-Tripometer doesnt work.
-Windshield has a small crack in the lower right hand corner (passanger side)
-Drivers side fender is not straight due to tire issues before the lift.
-Rear passanger side just infront of rear bumper is not perfect, small area.
-Molding around body is starting to loose the chrome part. Its not coming off the truck, the chrome part is coming off the molding.
-No parking brake. Converted the rear to disc and didnt have the time/money to add the parking brake.
Truck is very realiable. I drive it daily and tow with it maybe once a month. Only reason I am looking to sell/trade is to get into a 1 ton with more towing capiblity. Will consider trades for 73-99 chevy/gmc crew cab dually, 4x4, 454 or better. Or maybe any other crew cab dually 4x4 trucks.
