1995 Chevy 3/4 ton rear axle?

I've been told that in 1995 3/4 ton trucks with the 6.5L diesel or the 454 had 14B FF rear axles but the 5.7L gassers had the 14B SF.

Was the FF available as a part of a package or as an option with the 5.7?

I saw one today that looked unmolested and it had a FF under it.

Depends on whether it is a 7200lb gvw or 8600gvw. Lesser has SF greater has FF no matter what the motor
