any body know if they ever offered a 4x4 vertion, and if so what front axle would have been in them? i know its got a dana 80 rear end and its got a solid front axle in it now but have a guy want me to turn it in to a 4x4 in stead of a 4x2.

I believe those were all 2WD from the factory. I can vaguely remember reading something about it in a sales brochure.

10 lug wheels and special 8 lug to 10 lug on the front end for 4x4 conversion.

factory all 2wd with odd spacing on the leaf springs . it has a solid mono beam king pin axle. only runs 5 lug nuts on the front 2wd setup.

there were some that have been converted to 4x4 from a company. not sure on the tcase as the parking break was on the tail end of the nv4500 stick or 4l80-e auto.

thay do sit real tall when converted to 4x4. thay used a king pin dana 60 axle.

i know there was a lot of info in a thread here or pirate . and these trucks are tanks for a truck at 15,000 gvw on them. thay were a 454 vortec or a 6.5 turbo for motor options. and i dont think i have ever seen them only in a anything but a std cab only. so dont look for extra room in the cab.

i know of a few people who have them and love them for a super truck .

There was an aftermarket company that did crewcab conversions on them also. I have a 1999 2wd that I am building now. Here is a link to a forum dedicated to them. It has build thread links in it.

We had one that was stored in our old shop, a P-30 conversion van. It had an open knuckle 70 front axle.
