Got a friend about to buy one of these trucks with low miles. Did it include a transmission oil cooler on the front of the radiator? It looks like the radiator was replaced at one time and he was wondering if the transmission oil cooler got left off.

Also were those trucks NP208? I believe those are 4L60E by that year. I'm not up on my post 1991 GMs.

The mother inlaw had a 95 2500. It was the light duty one with the 6 lug 14 bolt, it had a 4l60 I believe, also no transmission cooler. Just a engine oil cooler.

Thanks. Yeah it's a light duty 3/4 ton with the 6-lug SF rear axle. I'm just not sure what all came with the factory tow package.

Transmission is a 4L60E. As far as I know the towing package included a hitch, 7 way wiring behind hitch w/o plug and possibly a in front of radiator trans cooler....but I don't think so.

They had some dumb options back than, for instance my 97 Sierra is just a 1500. But its got the 14 bolt sf out back

Also they came with an extra leave in the spring pack over the half ton as well.

Heres a lil info for you...

1988-up obs should of had the maunal shift 241/bw4401(3500s) and the 243, 246 elec shift cases.

Mid 99-07 classic is when they went to the 261 manual shift and 263 elec shift case.

All of which above had a vss(speed sensor) for the speedo to work and the trans to shift.

(Thats all with the exception that the 88-91 blazers are oobs andd np241 cases. Also the k30 88-91 had the older cases also.)
